Decor Customer Golf Day 2022
The third Decor Solutions Golf Day was held on Thursday the 29th September 2022 at the picturesque Langdon Hills Golf & Country Club in Bulphan, Essex.
Our golf days are a great way for us all to enjoy a competitive but fun day with our sales team, friends, colleagues and of course our customers! We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and this years’ event was our most well-attended ever. Over 50 golfers took part in this years’ event.
Upon arrival, the golfers were greeted with a goodie bag and a full English breakfast. This breakfast was sponsored by plywood agent Graeme Holburn & Co.
With all the golf being sponsored by Pfleiderer UK, tee-offs began at 10:30am. Everyone appeared to hit the fairway or green… although we did have one exploding golf ball a little bit further down the order!
A refreshment stand at Hole 10 was a welcome break and sponsored by Kronospan UK, everyone enjoyed the opportunity to have a drink and a bite to eat before tackling the back nine.
The first four-balls were welcomed back to the clubhouse shortly after 3pm. Blessed by good weather drinks were shared on the upper balcony where the panoramic views across to London could also be enjoyed. The rest of the four-balls joined us throughout the remainder of the afternoon, with the last group arriving shortly before 5pm.
A prize presentation meal was enjoyed in the evening. This year’s presentation event was sponsored by BKL Accountants, and several prizes donated by Medite Smartply and Koskisen.
We would like to thank all participating teams, customers and colleagues who supported the event. We would also like to thank Langdon Hills Golf & Country Club for their superb hospitality. Thank you also to Richard Geraghty – who steps back from his retired life each year to help us with the event. A small fundraiser was also held during the evening presentation. We’re happy to announce that £360.00 was raised for St Lukes Hospice in Basildon, Essex.
