EC Griffiths celebrates 65th Anniversary!

Did you know that February 2024 marks the 65th Anniversary of EC Griffiths & Co Ltd. (Decor Solutions)?

EC Griffiths was incorporated on 5th February 1959 by founders Peter & Penny Griffiths, who ran the business successfully for many years. January 2000 saw the company acquired by co-owners David Francis & Derek Fletcher and remains firmly in family ownership to present day.

David’s son Ben took the reins of the business from the outset and was joined by Rob Cushen in April 2004 and, in the Spring of 2006, E.C. Griffiths rebranded as Decor Solutions at the NEC Birmingham W6 Working With Wood exhibition.

Over the last two decades, Decor Solutions have established themselves as decorative specialists, introducing new brands and products whilst delivering a very personal service to a loyal customer base, a good number of which remain from the business rebrand launch at the NEC.

It’s not the only anniversary this year either…

Later in the year, our sister company DHH Panel Products will also celebrate 35 years of service to the Timber Trade. DHH ‘Timber’ was originally established in April 1989 by David Francis and the late Derek Fletcher; and specialises in raw plywood products. In 2023, it rebranded to become DHH Panel Products. European Birch plywood still remains a speciality for DHH, along with a wide range of other quality plywood products – including Italian Poplar and Eucalyptus cores.

Decor Solutions and DHH Panel Products have a combined 100 years of trade experience between them. Both companies would like to thank all of our customers and staff for their continued involvement.
